SMOKED MACKEREL PATE

Benefits:  Omega 3 fats found in oily fish, and nuts and seeds are anti-inflammatory and carry nutrients needed for brain health, hormone transport, energy production, and cellular repair too. These fats can help to keep us fuller for longer and assist healthy weight loss. This simple smoked mackerel pate is great on toast, with colourful toppings. Kids'll love these hollowed-out cucumber bites too.

Ingredients:

3 smoked mackerel fillets

250g cream cheese
1 lemon juice and zest
pinch of cayenne pepper

 

Method

  • Add to a blender and blend until smooth

  • Lasts in the fridge for 5 days
