Festive Snacks, Spiced Drinks and Decorations


Knife, chopping board, Mixing bowl, 2 saucepans with lids, 2 baking trays


To make popcorn:

  • Melt 1 tbsp coconut oil in a saucepan with a lid.

  • Add popcorn kernels and move around pan to coat well.

  • Place lid on and keep moving the pan until corm starts popping.

  • Allow to pop completely, then remove from heat.

  • In a separate pan, add 1/4 cup coconut oil, 1/4 cup pure maple syrup, 1/2 tsp ground Cinnamon, 1/4 tsp salt and Do Terra essential oils (if using)

  • Melt and pour over the popcorn.

  • Transfer to a oven proof dish and cook for 10 mins at 200Deg C to crisp.

To make punch:

  • Add all ingredients to a saucepan and slowly bring to heat. 

  • Allow to simmer for 10 minutes so that spices infuse.

To make citrus decoratios:

  • Preheat oven to 140 Deg C

  • Slice oranges finely approx 2mm thick

  • Place on a lined baking tray in oven for 2 hrs turning half way.

  • It may take longer, you can transfer to a warm radiator for a day or so to finish off.

  • Make a hole with a chopstick/ kniting needle, and thread through with a length of twine or festive inspired thread.

  • Get creative.. Why not add cinnamon sticks/ foliage to the hanging decorations too.


Popcorn (serves 4)

1 Cup Popcorn kernels

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

Ground Cinnamon to taste

Salt to taste

(The following Essential oil samples are available on request)

5-6 drops On Guard Protective Blend (dōTERRA)

2-3 drops Wild Orange (dōTERRA)

Spiced Apple Juice (serves 2)

2 cups Apple juice

1 cup Cranberry (unsweetened ideally)

1 Cinnamon stick

Unpeeled slice of orange to add to glass

Star anise

1 tsp honey/ maple syrup

2 drops OnGuard

2 drops Wild Orange

Dried Citrus Decorations

All or mix of following:

2 oranges

2 lemons

2 limes

Once dried out, decorate with:

Cinnamon sticks/ Star Anise/ beads

Twine/ thin ribbon to hang up
