RAW CHOCOLATE AND NUT BALLS

These are so simple No mixer required. They make great gifts too.

Benefits: Raw cacao is the most nutrient-dense form of chocolate, providing an excellent source of magnesium (natures tranquilizer). Iron, and antioxidants. Almonds are a great source of vitamin E, magnesium, fiber, and protein. Seeds are a great source of protein essential fats and lignans, which are fiber-like compounds, they also provide antioxidant protection, and may support hormone balance.

Ingredients:
100g raw cacao powder 
70g ground almonds/ cashews

30g flax seeds
4 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp spoons of nut butter
1 tbsp coconut oil (melted)
tiny pinch of salt

Roll in:
ground almonds/ chia seeds/ cacao powder/ desiccated coconut

 

Method:

  • Mix the base ingredients in a bowl, or mixer.

  • You can play with the quantities slightly so that the mixture comes together as balls easily.

  • Roll into balls, then roll to coat in your choice of coating.

  • Place in fridge to harden, then transfer to your choice of box or gift bag.

  • They last for around one week, and are best stored in the fridge.
